Eruption Beach Club ★★★

I landed at Eruptions and was suddenly hit with loud rock music. I sometimes teleport to clubs and teleport straight out again usually because of music. This time I stayed. Before walking to the club I cammed round (I like to see who's there first). I'd heard of the club through notices via the club advertising groups and from my old boss at The Atrium club but never actually been there.

The club has the usual small shopping area selling clothes and shoes which is normal for SL clubs. When I arrived I was greeted by the DJ (also the owner) via voice and then IM. He welcomed me, and told me about the club, event times etc. The sim is owned by len Canning and four other people. There were around 13/14 people there when I arrived but it increased as time went on to about 16 or 17 people.

len explained that they have live dj's 12 hours a day starting from 5am slt. They have event times to suit all time zones which is awesome because a lot of clubs have events from 2pm until 5pm slt.

The club itself is fair large, open roof and situated in the sea. It has the usual dj booth and a bar, with the dj/ host picture tip jars on the wall. The club is fairly popular and become more well known due to it being in the SL Showcase.

There wasn't much chatting when I arived but as people arrived the chatting increased. One thing I don't like about club is, lack of chat and too much gesture spamming. len finished djing and another dj started- Daniell Sciavo, playin vocal trance. As I write this there are 8 other av's here and more chat than there was earlier.

I would say it's worth checking the club out, and I will probably go again just to see what it's like when someone else is djing.

Ambrosia Dance Club ★★★★★

Haiii!!! I'm Evie and this is my first review!

Today I returned to one of my favourite clubs in Second Life. Ambrosia is everything I want in a club. I remembered that is was always busy, people were friendly and the music was really good. This time it was all of these.. but even better! The landing point is situated outside the club, and surrounding you is a large shopping mall with loads of brilliant shops. Directly in front of you is the club, which dominates the mall space. It's clearly signed, so you know exactly where you are. Beside the landing point are boards with images of all the Ambrosia DJ's which is pretty cool.

As soon as I walked into the club I was greeted by the dancers on the poles and the DJ greeted me in voice chat. I instantly felt welcome when I entered the club, and I recognised some people immediately. There were roughly 16 or 17 people there but it increased to maybe 23 people.
One thing I noticed was that there aren't any couple dances hogging the dance floor, only the Intan in the corner by the stage and the scripted dance floor.

The music when I arrived was a mix of chart music, rock and some dance, then when that ended
a live singer came onto the stage, a lady called Aurora Matalung. She sang some cool romantic songs, but I don't think the time slot was the best one for her. I was all hyped up from the first dj's music then go straight into slow music wasn't really my kinda thing. Especially when she was promoting couple dancing and my hubby was at rl work :(

One good thing about the dj's at Ambrosia is that they all do voice, which is a great way to keep the vip's entertained, especially when they say people's names.

All in all this has been and will always be one of my fave clubs in sl.

Thank you for reading my first blog, hope you enjoyed! Here are a couple of snaps from my time there.
