Club XTC Elite ★★

Open since 2005, Club XTC Elite is one of the older clubs out there. Owned by Looli Hoffman, Stacey Sugar and Nadia Tempura, you can find it in the Refugio sim.

The landing notecard promises “Real girls, who really know how to strip” who are “mentored to the highest standards” which sounds promising and makes me think about classrooms involving whips and chains for some reason…

Ahem, so anyway, I landed in a shopping area and wandered over to the club. Low lag, there was a good crowd there, almost 30 peeps. The chat spammer told me they have daily events and are on the lookout for DJs.

The brick walls were great, nice and tight build, a smaller club with a pinked out stage with hanging cages off to the side. Those great standard issue sine wave poles were up on the stage where I watched a few sexy girls use them quite skillfully with some good emoting.

Lots of quality escorting available here, with tons of dancer bios posted along the walls. They were actually kinda fun to read, and really detailed too, I was impressed.

Unfortunately, there was a whole room full of campers, these weird people just hanging out in a room staring at a wall, which explains the high traffic rating. I asked one of the owners present and they confirmed it. So, I gotta knock off a star for the cheat, but otherwise, not bad at all.

Heaven 'n Hell ★★★

Okay, this club was pretty hot, I gotta say. If you’re looking for a good strip club, check this place out.

A solid build in a single-room large stone castle, the large curving stage that dominates the centre has recliners set up around it for guests to chillax in. The floor looks like its moving lava, with cool fire coming up out of it.

The girls were hot and the guys sitting in the audience were pretty good looking, too. There was great emoting going on, lots of public chatter, and the smaller crowd of guys was definitely having a good time. These girls know how to take care of their guests, and the tip jars showed it.

The soft and a little cheesy rock on the stream helped set the type of mood you’d expect in a strip club. There wasn’t a contest going on while I was there, but the fancy board on the wall suggests they definitely have ‘em.

Looking to kick back and let a pretty girl dance for you? Head on over.

Bad Girls ★★★

Okay, no club review site is gonna be complete without a review of Bad Girls. I don't think a day goes by without me seeing some newbie walking around with their BAD GIRLS VIP tag above their heads! These guys obviously do their marketing, and get 'em hooked while they're young. ;)

Home of sexy talk radio, this self-described dance and fetish club is known all over SL and has one of the biggest traffic stats out there.

It's mega huge, mega crowd, and mega shopping. It's about as entertainment complex as a club in SL gets.

The intro card you get dropped on you when you arrive announces "Live DJs throwing down the hottest tracks and themed contest events 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year!" and, my favourite part, "Hot and Sensuous Escorts, ready to give a tour of Fully Equipped "Virtual Reality" VIP Rooms." *cough*

When I arrived, the party was in full swing! 40 people were heating up the psychadellic dance floor and a $2000L contest was underway. The live DJ from Sexy talk radio was telling rude jokes that made me laugh.

The dance floor was moving, pose balls were spread about, and spotlights were circling the floor. The build is huge and simple, with lots of bling and vendor areas around the walls. It reminds me of the big downtown warehouse clubs I used to go to when I was 16. Pretty hip. Maybe drink a little in RL before heading over to really bring the adventure home.

But all this mega means there's mega lag. I think this is probably one of the hardest parts of being a successful club in SL. Once you get busy, nobody can get busy anymore... so to speak. Ahem.

Worth checking out for that mega bling club time - just make sure you've got a fast computer.

PTA Cabaret ★★★

Described as an upscale club, PTA Cabaret is in the sim Anna. Owned by Thiala Fuchs, I came to check it out after I got a hot tip it had just opened.
The build's great, very lush and small, inside a real castle here which I like a lot. There are dance poles and sine wave dances in a ball for guests. The lush dark reds really adds a sense of atmosphere and closeness.
The male and female dancer were really hot, with great emoting, and looked like the guy might be escorting, too.

There wasn't a huge crowd but the live DJ Cabana was mixing up some great tunes and there was a hyoooge $1000 best in silks contest on the board!
I'd keep my eye on this one, I hope they do well and attract more crowds. Check 'em out!

Swallows Club ★★★

I'm here live at the grand opening of the Swallows club in Carpathia City! Gotta love that name. I was invited by the club's owner Neesha Jewell, and her sexy boyfriend Antonyno Oh owns the dark post apocalyptic roleplaying sim below.

There's a huge crowd, lots of sexy people, definitely an older, more experienced bunch of Second Lifers here. Tons of public chatter, I can barely keep up, which is a must for a good club. Don't you hate those clubs where everyone's in IMs?

The build is simple but spacious. There aren't many textures, which gives it a minimalist spaceship kinda feel. It's just recently built, so maybe they're still working on it.

There are strippers on the poles, and a contest board for events. There's a live DJ playing rock 'n pop favourites.
So, if you're a fan of that big club look, Swallows is a good choice. I hope they do well with events after the opening. Hot girls, twirling spotlights, great music and glimmering dance balls.

How we'll rate clubs

We need a rating system if we're going to do this right. So here it is, nice 'n easy:

★ Awful. Don't go. We're sorry we did.
★★ Pretty bad, but shows some hope. Might be newbie or campery.
★★★ Good times! Okay crowd, solid club build, worth checking out.
★★★★ Great time. Amazing build. Something different. Go see it.
★★★★★ Good as gold. Doesn't get any more awesome than this, we loved it.

The score is overall, so we look at what we saw when we arrived: Was it full of campers or real people? Did our eyes bleed from bling, or was it a smooth, stylish build? Was the crowd rockin' up a storm or the place as empty as a politician's promise? And did we turn up the stereo to hear some awesome tunes, or turn off the stream as soon as we arrived?

Welcome!

Here we go, finally, SecondClubs.com is a blog that reviews all the clubs in Second Life. Tired of wandering the grid looking for a good place to hang? We were, too.

So our plan is to visit every club, give them a rating, and write about them here.
